OSU Policies and Procedures
Tobacco and Vape Free
OSU was the first Big 12 institution and state-funded university in Oklahoma to adopt a tobacco free policy. That policy went into effect in July of 2008 and was prompted by a Student Government Association recommendation. In December 2013 OSU made the change to their tobacco policy to ban vapor products/e-cigs and the state of Oklahoma followed suit in January 2014. Oklahoma State University is a tobacco and vape free property, for our health. The policy includes no tobacco, smokeless tobacco or vapor products. For tobacco cessation call the Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline at 1-800-QUIT NOW or visit their website at okhelpline.com. Read the policy.
Oklahoma State University takes acts of sexual violence and sexual harassment seriously. In an effort to comply with the Violence Against Women Act and the Office for Civil Rights federal guidelines, all students are required to complete online training on sexual violence prevention.
